Gold seems to be there top end. Are they any good? Can't find any b6s/b8 rear for this kinda money. Are they passable? Just acutely aware I need to upgrade from my standard shocks as I'm so low...

I have GAZ golds on the rear of mine with 21mm bars and hybrid ARB and their spot on. Massive inprovement over the stodgy B6's I had previous. Fully bump and rebound adjustable as well so can be set to your liking.

Most peoples grumble is the anodised finish doesn't do well against salt so they go rusty on a daily car but been on mine 2 years now and still mint.

With 21s on my 6 with solid mounts & total Jorg refurb axle with b8s & everything new & Gen Peouget up front including new Gen ARB but Vibrotech P bushes & it's amazing !!!!

Miles is running similar I believe ?
I think with larger ARB ?
I'm sure he will say ?
Don't forget you don't need stiff suspension for Hill climbing or bumpy tracks like Castle Combe ...other tracks maybe & I want to enjoy driving mine on the road without it taking my fillings out Whistle

Mines not that bumpy lol similar setup I only run the gaz's about half max damping. got solid rear mounts too and Jord rear beam. All new Lemforder front suspension joints with new roller wishbone bushes OMP shocks and Faulkner racing springs Thumbs up

Really? al pass on them. Got a set of gaz gold rear shocks for free what are in need of a rebuild the as adjusters are sized and there is a bush missing, any idea on how much gaz usually charge to recon rear shocks?

Dampers aren't cheap to produce so if you're buying them for a cheap price new they're typically not going to be very well made.

If your issue is that you are too low, then by all means upgrade your dampers but you're then still too low.

I can vouch for the GAZ Golds also, i have had the GAZ Gold Coilover kit on my 6 for over 5yrs now 40,00miles later and cannot fault them on or off the track. Apart from the finish which hasnt stood the test of time and dosnt look nice in places. The flexibility of the units is very easy to use and operate and i cant grumble about the ride control either.

I had no complaints about my Gaz rears, apart from sticky adjusters, although I did have a thicker compression foot stack in them than standard.
I prefered them over the rear Bilsteins, quality on those has been shocking for a few years.

i just found them way too hard/harsh, the Group a gravel bilstein worked so much nicer.

Its not a go fella please understand that. He asked the question so I answered with my experience on the exact kit he wishes to use.

You had problems with Gaz Gold stuff Mei quality wise ? Or Is it just didn't suit your application ?

Strange, I was running with smaller bars than most too and had no issue. Rode better than standard.
