For road or race use? +1 to 3J from Pug Racing, we have one in the race car.

Would be mainly road use but am definitely interested in some track time. Croft is on my door step so I'm going to look into it

let miles know what you'll be using it for and he can supply appropriate ramp angles and preload, these can be altered to suit, 3J diff is the newest type and also the cheapest available afaik.

its the former Tran-x guys with a newer evolution after they sold the old company and tooling to Quaife.

I've driven one in a road car and its great.

They're about £600 from Pug Racing, worth it though. One of, if not the best, upgrade I've done on the car.

I thought that the diff needed setting? Do you select the ramp angle when you order it?

Yes you can have various ramps and pre-load settings. 3j will advice you depending on what you use the car for

Miles / 3J set the angles for me. Just let him know your setup (PAS/non-PAS, tyre type etc.) and he'll get it sorted.

What sort of power/torque do quaife guarantee out of curiosity?

Plate diffs can handle silly power regardless of what they guarantee.
