Have you uprated the torsion bars or just running standard with standard shocks?

I think you will find you only have 2 decent options

Solid or new genuine rubber

Has your 'tuner' advised you to use bricks for shock absorbers? The beam mounts aren't the only thing there to do the damping....

I think everyone here will assure you, you wont suddenly bounce off the road when you run over a stone..

I assume that you are fitting the KW V2's in the other thread you posted, with a standard ARB and TB's by the sound of it.

You are stripping and caging the thing so I can't image that road comfort is too high up on the list. You get a bit more road/tyre noise through and that's about it.

Depends if you want the passive rear steering, it feels more planted with solids but more forgiving with the rubbers. I prefer the solids personally, but then I'm not everyone

no need for any sarcasm just in case someone feels the need for being a keyboard warrior!

cars stripped
caged
kw v2 front
kw rears
standard anti roll bar and torsion bars
front upper and lower strut braces
new beam ready to fit as it so needs lowering
I enjoy using the car for work and at present it handles pretty good
solids will be overkill for my personal preference
my tuner, the guy who works on my cars is superb and has a great deal of experience with track cars so yes if he says put some bricks somewhere I'll bloody do it, and some :-)
cheers guys

FFS wind your neck back inLOL

If you can't stand a bit of p**s taking you're on the wrong forum.

306GTI6 dictionary term "my tuner" means "I am very gullible & know feck all about cars, luckily for me there is a guy down the road who will do my car up for me, he drives a Ferrari now" Laugh my ass off

Cool

Lee, been driving the car daily on a standard beam, no issues mate. This is my fourth GTi 6/ Rallye and the first I've had with solid mounts, I love it. The only reason I'm selling these is that a beam I have just bought has come with brand new ones attached Cool
