pardon me for being thick
what's the TPS throttle position sensor?
if so where is that? is it the sensor not in the pic mounted into the throttle body?

Tps is under Neath the throttle body, air temp sensor is a small grey sensor on the back of the throttle body

so what is at the side of the throttle body?
facing the front of the car
throttle heater? or is mine just mounted different?

Yes throttle body heater is the yellow thing on the front. That won't affect running really, only useful on very cold winter mornings.

TPS is Throttle Position Sensor, on the bottom of the throttle body. Should be able to feel it if you stick your hand under.

Yellow thing ? Has something to do with fuel vapour I think but it does not a lot in my eyes

I have read up tons of threads
tested what I think are all ok sensors
anyone recommend a lambda please as I think it could either be that
or map
sensor :-)

Ok people update
Friend coming round later with diagnostic equipment

Took for a spin was almost like it was overfueling and missing then picking up as you accelerate, had a short run then trip on motorway gritted teeth lol
So seems ok when on full chat, makes me think lambda as its getting very hot then and not functioning well when just part throttle when its cooler

question for you guys
if my lambda was faulty would it trigger the engine management light?
could it be a bad earth somewhere?

update people
tried the link below and have 5v at the plug
but when wiring it up and testing the map sensor using the 3 wires it's staying at around 5v
there is no voltage change
so I guess this is the problem
my sensor does not react anything like the video have ordered a second hand one
see what happens if it works I'll post up

ok new Bosch sensor fitted
when cold or just started when warm drives fine
then after a couple mins Boggs down again
anyone have any ideas
water temp sensor? air temp sensor?

No more misfire
Lambda sensor was faulty!
So if you get similar symptoms unplug it and if its no good the car will drive fine
