Last year I shat both CV's, I replaced both shafts complete with CVs with J&R joints drive shafts.

So after less than 500miles the drivers side CV is clicking and clunking like mad and i have a huge amoumt of steering wheel wobble over 40-50mph and i have a few MM play up, down, back, forth, left ,right in the long shaft (so im convinced the CV has gone). BUT!!!!! I my 6 is charged and stupidly low. But my mrs XSI is just as low and its done over 20k on 100k drive shafts without isuue. Is there any other reason Im eating Joints so quickly???

I mean its low but iv got / had other 306s just as low an know of others that are lower that dont have drive shafts issues

Also I bough the car on 38k in standard form (so shaft in good nick) modded the car straight away and within 1000k the both CVs went the 1st time

J&R sell absolute s**te, I wouldn't put their stuff on a car if it was free, so yes, try some OE shafts first.

Q drive I've fitted to 106's and saxos before and they seem to have been ok so far had none come back but their utter s**te and I woulnt put them near my 6 lol
Shaft tec are good few other makes worth considering. My 6 is only lowered 40mm but as far as I know it's still on the original driveshafts on 144k. All I've done is replace the boots and re grease them.

    Absolute f**king garbage mate, I fitted 3
Of these to my mondeo within a month before taking it back for the third time and slinging it back over counter to them
