It will be the earlier type flywheel.

No it wont Rich got back all the early type flywheels ! I asked him

They work better with an hdi starter as some of the gti versions have a really small engaging wheel

I have an early type one on my car and I know for a fact there is loads out there still

I'm pretty sure at least one of mine is the early type, it's been fitted for 5+ years.

What work is done to the engine apart from the lomgman head?

Assuming the head is ported, polished, cams etc. sorry to sound dull but still a newbie to this engine business!!

Standard internals, it's one of the safest cams you can run on standard pistons. So nothing in terms of other mods as far as I know

What kind of bhp? Im in the process of re building a standard engine but always on the lookout for fom gomfaster bits!!

Have you any more details on the engine? Does it include a mapped ecu, and any rolling road results?

Has the head been skimmed?
