I did yeah, I could've gone an inch or so lower but I didn't want the tank to be the lowest point on the underside of the car.

So what's best way to join the new line to the original line? Going to the fuel rail, anyone got any pictures of this?

I've tig welded -6 fittings onto fuel rails for a few people now. I prefer them off the car and drained of fuel first though as I'm a wuss.

I mean I've seen some pictures where fuel lines under bonnet have been kept the same, so they must of joined it into the original line back towards the tank some where?

No, I planned to run a filler to a bracket bolted on the rear of the cage with a connecting pipe so I don't have to lean into the car and try and tip a heavy fuel churn. I got all the gear from Rally Design, the tanks come from the States though and can take a while if it's not a common size.

It's actually not exactly right. That fir tree fitting is designed for a different type of hose that doesn't use a crimp and would be likely to split if you used it on the plastic fuel hoses that come with the car. But you need something along those lines.

Yea I will do mate, when I'm fitting it, step by step, hardly any good information on setting this system up on these cars,

Yea something along those lines Dave, fuel line under the car is rubber yea?, that would fit over the barbed nipple, then your braided hose and an-8 fitting would fit on end of it, so that is kind of the right setup

The fuel lines under the car are a form of thin wall hard plastic. Being 10+ years old they may not take kindly to having a hose barb of the type I linked to shoved in them. You'd be best talking to Austin at Torques UK directly and seeing what he recommends. I'm sure he will have a neat solution among the hundreds of product lines he sells.

what did you do about supplying fuel to a swirl pot?

my standard fuel pump lifts to the swirl pot then the from there the Bosch 044 takes care of the job

At the end of the plastic lines they get a lot more harder where the original clip on connectors are, just cut the line going into the original filter a few inches away and push the new rubber hose all the way upto the connector and use a small worm drive clamp as close as you can to the connector, job done, no need for aftermarket parts

I've got a Facet low pressure high volume red top lift pump to pull fuel from the tank and feed the swirl pot.
