Problem with back end under braking. I seem to get a lot of noise from the rear end especially when braking over uneven ground it sounds like something is coming lose, but everything seems to be tight Unsure. A good example is when I'm just coasting along slowly and jerk the handbrake on and off there's a knock as if there is a lose caliper but I've have a check and calipers aren't lose Unsure
Axel bushes look fine from what I can feel.

Anyone had anything similar to this and sorted it?

You got any camber on your axel? It may be the swing arm banging a bit due to shot bearings.

Could be the beam mounts, I had a knocking/thumping noise over uneven ground before a replaced mine.

The axel is fine i refurbished it two years ago put new bearing and shafts in, camber is good. Put new axle bushes in at same time so they should be good to I hope. There's no noises in the up and down movement of the axle.
Could it be a wheel bearing?

I know you said ypu checked the moints, but if the beam aint knocking then it must be the mounts.
