Just remembered something odd about the brakes on the race car when we were out at Brands last week. Once we'd done a few runs in the car, each time you went out the brake pedal was quite soft but after a lap or two would get much firmer and back to how it was a the beginning of the day.

Any ideas? Not certain what was causing it.

Standard Brembo pads that came on the Megane 225. I have plans to upgrade but didn't think the pad would cause the problem?

Try a fluid change first and ensure you bleed the system properly.

It's a new system as I replaced all the lines when I removed the ABS. There are no leaks and we've bled it about 5 or 6 times to make sure all the air was out.

If you have a bias valve have you got this opened up enough to let fluid through also could be a bent bracket on your callipers so the pads have to pull up before they work correctly as i had this on the back of a Mk2 escort when someone had fitted a rear disc conversion and did not get the brackets lined up straight before they welded them to the axle !!!!!

Could also be the master cylinder clearance.

We've got a bias valve, around the mid-position so some fluid should be going in. Bent bracket doesn't sound too good! Will check them.

Master cylinder clearance? As in how far the master cylinder moves?
