interface for laptop to talk to ECU. My old Euro1 EFI needed one which costs £740!

Still not sure what you mean, is it a cable/lead?

With a DTA ecu you need a serial lead or serial lead and usb to serial adapter which is about £25, and the dta software which you download off their website for free and is updated as and when they release it.

also fresh firmware is a free download off the website, you can flash the ecu yourself if you pay a little extra for a serial lead with the flash function.

Nah, just a serial cable, maybe a usb>serial adaptor if you don't have a port. Software is on the DTA site.
