forget grooves and dimples is my advice.
Had some new (Cheap) GSF discs fitted the other day, Pads are of xxx oem make (I have no idea) but I made my mates brother s**t himself with the brakes and he owns a Focus RS.

Pretty sure what im saying is that even if you use OEM GSF stuff the brakes are fine
TBH, I would not bother upgrading the calipers for my car unless i was going High boost but im a tart so...

Agree, fresh and flushed new brake fluid is the best way to make your brakes better, most cars hardly ever get it changed.

I have got a set of brembo calipers on the way so braided lines is next on hit list and obviously decent pads but MTEC can supply discs fairly cheap so wondered if anybody had any exp with their stuff

Yes I know but it's surprising how many people don't do it, and just expect it to be done on services eg, people that spend £1000+ getting all there brakes redone to never even think about the fluid, and just expect it to be done.

I say go for it just get decent pads as well? they have goodish reviews comparable to APEC. though it does say that he buys in blanc discs drills them and grooves them himself wether this a bad thing I'm not sure?

The only set of APEC pads I've ever bought had me going down a long hill not long after fitting, with both feet pushing like f**k on the brake pedal whilst smoke billowed out from under the front arches LOL

They were replaced once more when I got where I was going!
