Hi guys, very strange one that has been stumped, the front drivers seat when locked into position moves forwards and backwards when accelerating or braking, only about 3/4 inch but it is driving me nuts lol.

It seems to be coming from the back left e.g. if you are sitting in the seat and reach your left hand down behind the seat, annoyingly will only do it with the weight of a person in the seat but I cannot see how it is doing this.

I have checked all bolts are tight but apart from this I have no idea, help?

does the seat move back and forth easily when you pull on lever? check the 'locking dog' mechanism, if its sticky lube it up with some WD

The seat moves freely fully back and forward. It almost feels like the seat is coming of the rail at the back but I know that it is not

there are a few torque (t30 i beleive) head bolts faceing upwards that attach the seat base to the frame. underneath the seat.

found my two front ones were were pretty loose yesturday and it stopped my seat from jerking about.

happy hunting

Is the frame securely bolted to the chassis?

Check that money hasn't fallen and got wedged in the rail. Happened to me before, but it normally causes more movement

Drivers seat on my 106 is doing this, not constantly, it's as if the mechanism suddenly let's go then engages again.
I'm guessing this is an MOT fail if it happens during testing?

Oh yes mate, I checked them all, think only thing is to get the seat out and have a good look underneath, must be something simple.

The seat is about 1 or 2 clicks from the back.
