I'm going to replace my discs and pads all round sometime next week when I'm off work. After reading a fair few threads on the subject it seems that the best replacements would be standard Brembo discs and ferodo ds2500 pads. Ive looked on eBay and the discs are £65 for front and £25 for back, pads are £113 for front and £70 for back.
1) Do these prices sound ok or are they cheaper elsewhere?
2) Are the pads really worth all the extra money?
The car will be used for road use but looking to do the occasional track day soon hense wanting something a bit better than standard.
Cheers in advance for any replies Thumbs up

Put standard pads on the back, anything else is overkill unless ur doing some seriously hard track work IMO! Thumbs up

I was thinking about having standard pads on the rear as the fronts do more of the work. I just didn't want to run the risk of sounding like a cheap skate so I'm glad you said itThumbs up

So on the rear would you say to get genuine pads or a named pad like mintex or something?

My track car just has Andrew page specials on the back but they do so little work it's never been an issue!

If you follow those links through, it leads to a 266mm disc diagram.

Can't comment on the part numbers though, it's far too late for servicebox.

I have mintex 1144 on the back and these seem to not make the rears clamp up like OE ones have done in the past, rear discs cars are known for clamping up which during an emergency stop and you don't want the back to come out.

Mintex 1144 are my recommendations for front and rear. As for disks, I use a good quality type, once bedded in well enough they can take a lot of force and no warping, but I do have mine (front and rear) with cut not drilled discs, drilled can crack.

They say let them all bed in for 100 miles, but imo this just isn't enough before you can properly use them hard, 250 miles is more like it.

Part number 4246 G1 is for phase 1 , 4246 V3 is phase 2 both are now 4249 K4 283mm EP22
Wouldn't rely on seekpart to much for info perhaps thats why he has them up so cheap but seekpart have the numbers right on checking so who knows. mail him and ask, bargain at £40 delivered if they are genuine and he's pretty sound I've had some good stuff off him in the past.

Mintex standard replacement read discs & pads.

I've put a set of these on every pug I've owned, except for the 205 which had drums. Each time they've outlasted my ownership of the car, which was circa than 20k miles on the Platinum XS.

For the front I've always used brembo discs and generic motorfactor pads, but I'm going to try out these next month before the MOT is due.
