Just fitted my second hand Brembo 330x28 Ashs Brakes with V6 coup Calipers ..Ceramettalic Pads & 5.1 fluid & Goodridge pipes...
The bloody things are totally incredible ...
By far the best upgrade so far !!!
The brakes haven't shown any sign of fade what so ever !

I'm being told Ashs Renault 330 are better ?
I'm already peeling myself off the inside of the Windscreen.!!!
Why anyone would want more GOD Knows ...lol
See you all @ Pugfest .!!!!!

The only time they fade is after you come off track after a serious session, but as soon as you start moving again they come good. I scared an Evo driver @ Rockingham as I could get within a few inches of him at every corner Laugh my ass off

Cool

Went to Castle Combe with this forum on French car day ....Did 26 laps ....16 nonstop & never had any problems with Brake fade at all & any body watching apart from my m8 Martin spinning my car & us nearly dying will agree ..I was totally on the limit .!!!!
Would Never even consider any more Brake improvements NOW ....what I have is overkill I feel for track let alone 70% road use ...Thumbs up

Plus my bit of weight saving on calipers ...but heavier Discs !!!!!

I'd have thought the rotors are lighter than the discs?

The Renault Brembo 330 brakes make me go dizzy and feel really light headed for 5-10 seconds on a hard stop from high speed

Contrary e to what most think, In some conditions "upgrading" only the front brakes makes the stopping distance longer.
conditions like hard braking on ordinary tires.

How would that work? When braking hard the rear of the car lifts up so the rears can't do a lot without locking up anyway so having larger rear brakes would just make things worse....

http://www.stoptech.com/technical-support/technical-white-papers/rear-brake-upgrades

"when the OEM is designing a brake system, they 'size' the system components (calipers, master cylinder, rotor OD, etc.) to generate the proper amount of torque at both ends of the vehicle so that the front brake force ('F' above) exceeds its peak traction first. At this point, the front brakes lock and the car slides in a nice, stable straight line. (Note that at STOPTECH, we design our front brake upgrade kits in the very same fashion for the very same reasons.)
Potential Impacts of Big Front Brakes
Fortunately (from a safety standpoint anyway), when most big-brake suppliers adapt a mondo rotor and caliper package to a vehicle, they end up actually increasing the FRONT bias. How? By increasing the effective caliper piston area and the rotor effective radius, these two factors work together to increase the 'mechanical gain' of the front brakes, building more torque for the same pressure, everything else being equal. So, from a bias perspective we are not pushing the vehicle toward instability, but rather just the opposite - we are underbraking the rear axle! The obvious impact would be an increase in stopping distance - probably the one thing the new owner was actually hoping to reduce. Ironic. So, say you chose to install these big brakes on the front axle but want to maintain the OEM bias. What's the answer? Well, one way would be to invest in big rear brakes too which increase the rear mechanical gain to the point that the system is balanced once again."
