Ive been offered some magnesium wheels that came off a saxo/106 but unsure wether to go for it. Its for my track/road 306. They look like old scooby wheels in 15". Does anyone have any experience with these type of wheels? Cheers Smile

I was worried about handing the money over for these for that exact reason. I thought i would ask you lot first and im glad i did. I was suspicious of the price too as he is asking for £300 with the 4 near new dunlops on them. Bit suspect 'ey!

Cheers for your help guys Thumbs up

I got a set of those in my garage, they do weigh a lot, but are good strong wheels, good for rallying. Look good too although most need a refurb as the original paint/laquer doesn't seem much cop.

Wont be doing too much rallying in my 6 once its on the road, unfortunately. Maybe the odd thrash around a field but it wont warrant these wheels LOL

Even though these are not mag if you come across some genuine mag wheels you really need to have them checked my a magnesium refurbishment specialist. Mine are from a circa 90's group a rally car. The chap who refurbished them said I'd have a hard job even cracking them the road! Cost £70 a corner though.

Raceline RL7's are very prone to cracking behind the spokes. Loads of Ford RS boys have had to have them welded/repaired over the years.
