Right then

Had a bit of a meddle earlier and found one or two things out! Need a new rad cap as the stem from the cap into the pressure plate is broken! And I need some tools!

Tried to change the filter but coz the car is so low I couldn't get under it and I don't have a jack! And I couldn't undo the damn plug coil bits as I only have a handle bit holder not a socket set one! Doh

Anyway, I do remember someone on the roller thread mentioning throttle cable tension, check this clip out and see what you think?

Ignore the metally noise of the motor, its coz I was holding the camera too close, car doesn't tap at all as others mentioned. Actually I don't think I can send this, its a 20 meg file! Cant seem to compress so have included a pic

In fact f**k this, it wont let me upload anything larger than 256k, how bloody stupid!

Best way to post pictures/videos is to use a Photobucket account or similar.

Just copy and past the [IMG] tags into your posts.

This is a clip of the throttle cable maybe being loose as people mentioned in the original roller thread
Cant get this clip to upload sorry, flick just is s**te!

there is a pic instead, this is obviously with no throttle being applied, kind of like slack!

I thought so stan, dinnae worry flickr is not liking vid clips

Basically the throttle cable has some play in it, not sure if I can tell it makes a difference, but it might explain a few things, or it might be nothing!

We'll see

get somebody to press the pedal to the floor (with engine off LOL) while u see if there's any more to go at the butterfly(where the cable meets to throttle body)
If there is then the cable needs tightening and if not then the cables fine.

The alternative for loners - jam a bit of wood or similar in the footwell to fully depress the pedal.

If you press the pedal quickly and firmly you'll hear it hit the stop even without the bonnet up, if you don't hear a tap noise from under the bonnet it isn't opening all the way.

All you do to adjust it is take the metal clip off, hold the plastic piece that has grooves cut in it out so the cable is tight and refit the clip, literally a 2 second job and you'll know for definite that is then not the problem.
