Hi all. Dont really know where to put this.

My 6 has developed a squeak when you rock the engine backwards. I had all 3 engine mounts changed last year and the top ine recieved a chassis repair from daveyboy due to a crack. The noise would appear to be coming from the middle height of the engine down the back. Any ideas?

Personally I'd try the exhaust manifold heat shield first.... Sometimes movement on things like that can create a squeak rather than the more obvious rattle.

Interestingly ive only had that replaced 2 weeks ago. Hmmm...I'll get that checked asap. Whilst its being checked I'll get the heatshield checked out too. Cheers boys. Smile
