I am after a tyre that performs well in the following:

Wet grip
Dry Grip
Track use
Tread wear not being too major
Decent price per tyre delivered.
Speed rating around the 140mph mark to allow for the Rallye on track Big grin

I have a couple of examples below that i've found, ideally i'd like to get a set of 4 in 195/50/R15 for as much under £200 as possible.

Any decent advice in tyre would be appreciated thanks!

In 50 profile I believe the best is Michelin ps3s. There were something like 53 pound a corner. Have a look at the thread made not long ago about them.

If you are going for 50 profile the world is your oyster and for way less than £200 per tyre! You can still get Michelin PE2s in this size which are highly rated on here, though the Michelin PS3 is a more modern tyre deign. Although they are merely above average in the wet, the Yokohama Advan AD08 is apparently superb in the dry and for track use.

I've just put a set of Maxxis pro-r1 (marked as Traction AA) on the front of mine £110 all in and can highly recommend them. As grippy as anything I've tried before wet or dry. I went for Maxxis as they are getting a great name in the bike world... in blind tests the are up there/beating the Michelins, Pirellis, etc... on track. If your not a tyre snob, give 'em a go.

Rainsport 2 are too soft for track. Will bugger off very quickly indeed.

Just been looking at Paradas Spec 2's?! A lot of reviews saying they are not good in the wet but i guess they are fine for normal driving??

The G-force profiler 2's are awesome if you can find them, never ever let me down wet or dry and it's fair to say the car gets driven hard... I need another two. Hovis, where are you getting yours from??

Just get ps3s? superior to even thing else mentioned and on price near enough.
Paradas dlnt deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence

Conti sport are an epic tyre just as good if not better than the michelens and they're cheaper.

+1 but not quite as good in the wet. Don't last as long either. Great tyre though.

Lol well thanks for the advice and suggestions guys, I'm swaying towards getting the profiler 2's. won't be for a little while yet as I need to make sure I have work again for the next month or so.

After a long time looking for tyres I went with Avon ZV5s. I looked at the AD08s or what ever they're called but I wanted something that's good all round. Cheap as well £70 a corner for 55 profile on black circles.

I've got toyo t1r's on my 6 and they are grippy in the wet and dry. I've done a few track days and haven't let me down

BFG are Michelins budget brand my local tyre place reckons, hence the qualityWink

To be fair, playboyb had some pzero nero's on his charged 6 and they seemed pretty good.
