Alright guys,

Having trouble removing the valve stem oil seals from the head. Just wondered if there was any specific technique or tool to be used?

Obviously you won't be using them again, so you can use some pliers, these should do the trick. Yes

Yeah fair enough. We're just a little worried about crushing the valve guides. Have tried doing this but wouldnt like to grip much harder.

you won't crush the valve guide that easy,

Be careful not to scratch the bores the lifters fit into

Bit of a thread revival....

Is it necessary to use a tool for placing new stem seals or can they just be pushed on by hand? It doesn't look like they're held in place by anything, is that the case?

Use 10mm long socket and a small mallet to drift the seal into place! Thumbs up
