I don't have my car at the moment to check it out, so wondered if anyone has any experience of this.

I want to move my fixed buckets back so someone else can drive my car. Initially I though no worries, 4xbolts, done. But now in my minds eye, the seat/seat mounts are not quite parallel, but are in fact trunkated/trapezoidal. wider at the front than then back if that's clearer.

This will mean that whilst the centres obviously align in its current configuration, when I index the seat back a few holes, they wont.

Do i remember some lateral adjustment on exhaust tunnel side on the original seat fixing points??

Any comment on adjustment on the original fixing points? I've got 'floating' threaded blocks trapped beneath a slot in my mind?

pics would help, but looking at your project thread you appear to have side mounts, in which case unbolt the seat, shift side mounts back a few holes on the rails and refit seats.

Well that is obviously what I'm going to do. But I don't share your confidence about the mounts being parallel, hence still being interested to know if there is lateral adjustment on the original fixing points (which I'm still using on the tunnel side)

unless some complete spanner made and fitted them, and the side mounts are twisted to buggery, they will be parallel.

Normally the holes in the seat mounting brackets themselves are slotted, I've elongated holes in the past to achieve the positioning I've wanted. Just don't go nuts and weaken anything too much.

Usually the bottom row of holes are too in my experience.

There are slots to side to side about +- 5mm but nothing for backward and forwards iirc.
