Thats good of you to say, but I still think you overstepped the mark. If you had've left it for one of the other admins to remove the pictures in question I very much doubt any of them would've done it. BUT the fact YOU did makes you look bad.

Ok, well thanks for the support from the majority. Thumbs up

I do put a lot of hours in here to try and get the job done as effectively as possible, however I'm not perfect and I will make correct and incorrect judgements from time to time. I'm only human. Gilesy will back before you know it, I only gave him a short time out.

I don't agree about misuse of powers, just because the spoofs involved me. I'll openly admit I literally cried with laughter when Owain launched that avatar and I laughed when Gilesy posted the picture. To me they are funny, and if I wasn't in the position I'm in I would happily of backed them, leaving someone else to make the decision whether or not they are inappropriate. However, I am that 'someone' who has to make the decisions and on this occasion I deemed it a better judgement to remove them. I know many don't agree, but when making these decisions, you're on your own and you need to make a judgement call fast and make sure it achieves the desired outcome.

I am just like all you guys, I come here wanting to help others out technically and also keep the place tidy whilst at the same time have a bloody good laugh, I'm not here just to lay the rules down, in fact it's the one thing I hate doing.
Tbh your not like most of us... your much more offensive. Wink

    Ok...

So it appears despite my better judgement, the majority don't see a problem with these pictures...that being case, maybe I should apologise seeing as it would appear I am believed by most to be in the wrong. So, I apologise, I made a judgement call, which, turned out to be incorrect. For this reason, I have also left the picture that Dan posted untouched, and must admit that again it made me chuckle. Smile

I can't "unban" Gilesy, as until the 'Sin Bin' has reached the end of the time set the posting rights of that user can't be reinstated. However, he will back to normal as of midnight tonight.

I hope this resolves the situation for many of you, and I will also extend this apology to Carl on his return. Yes

Give him time, he's currently driving round the M25 parking on the hard shoulder, climbing gantries measuring signs while texting ladypoo pictures.
