Obviously a gti6 you'd will be removing the aircon so will require a smaller belt, belts are just off the shelf items you can buy at any required length so is no issue. As for my own car for instance I have removed the power steering and added it to the sump then fitted a super charger so in effect added an extra pully it never had as original, you just measure the length and buy a belt to suit. My case was a slightly larger unit. Try it and you will find out or follow the way the belt goes with some string. Yeah let's waste money to see if it might work or I could just ask Carl who has probably done something similar in the past. Forums are here for reason bud. If I wanted to buy a belt an start testing I would. In theory to your post as you are not adding a pulley you should be able to re use the original belt but as a few have said just measure it up with a piece of string, work out the length and there you go, so it would be a 6pk (6 ribbed belt) by the length you have measured ie 6pk 1100 for example.Still one left .
