Not that exciting I know but I wanted to get some kind of consensus on my new wheels.

I've been looking around for a set of cheap wheels to stick on my car over the winter months while I get my cyclones refurbed. I've liked the BBS "starfish" alloy that Peugeot fitted to the 406 coupe for ages now so when a full set of 5 in 15" with good tyres popped up on ebay I grabbed them.

I think they look alright and definitely add a more squat and purposeful look because of the 12mm offset compared to the 18mm standard cyclone offset. Plus they are easy to get balanced and these are 6.5J width so ideal if you're looking to fit wider tyres (but then you may create issues with clearance on the inside of the wheel). The main drawback is that they are quite heavy.

I've got them fitted with standard 195/55 R15 tyres and they fit really nicely with standard ride height.

Let me know what you think.

Can't say I'm a big fan eiher to be honest. They're a bit overly smooth and bland looking on a standard 306. The only car other than a 406 coupe I've seen a set fitted to that looked ok was a 205 CTi, but that had a few other well thought styling changes that all complimented each other.

This is the one I remember seeing. These are 16" though, so that might be the difference.

They remind me of those teddy bear alloys, they look too pointy to suit the car imo.

One good thing is they are 7 inch wide which is how Peugeot should have had fitted on these cars.

That's the intention mate, save my cyclones from all of the road salt and once the weather begins to pick up again I'll have a shiny new set of cyclones to put back on the car.

You'll need to throw money at the car. Not on parts. Just stand near your car and throw loose change at it, I find this increases performance for a short period of time
