With no test I would say it's only worth £500. Sad

That P1 red car was really nice. Sad to see it going gradually down the s**tt*r. Someone with the attention span of more than a fruit fly buy it and save it please.

I've been reading an article about early Porker 911s, which sell for ridiculous money (£25,000 - £350,000). A GTI-6 is worth a fraction of those prices, but it is way more than a fraction of the driving experience.

People will realise this in a few short years when there are almost none left as most have been scrapped. Old 60s - mid-80s Escorts were worth nothing a few years ago and now even cooking models are worth megabucks - and a GTI-6 is much better to drive.

Unfortunately there are other slightly newer hatches out there that are ever increasingly becoming the £1k car of choice which the '6 was a little while ago now.

Good point. It took the Escort a long time to get uber-desirable. Will there be enough 6s left if/when the time comes?

That's Ford though. A different league compared to PSA enthusiasts.

I feel there will be enough left. People will still be more concerned about the 205 GTi though IMO.

Erm excuse me. LOL whos this joker? i had my reasons for selling the car as i couldnt afford to throw money at it at the time due to new baby. but its up to the owner what he wants to do with it now. Its a lovely looking Gti6 just need bit of attention to it.

Don't hold your hopes up for the future of a 6 and it's value LOL. Look how much a mint low mileage 205 goes for and compare it to how much has been spent on maintenance, running costs and possibly restoration to get it to that price. Then remember how a 6 doesn't have that iconic status and you realise you're living in La La land if you think it's worth it.
