Just been reading the install instructions on their website. Seems like a simple idea where it only discharges if there is a pressure drop.

Plumbed in via a sandwich plate seems simple enough. Already have a plate on for the oil cooler so I assume it would to attach via a t connection from one of the pipes to the cooler.

It that simple?

Or is there a threaded port to the oil gallery?

You need it plumbed into the return side of the sandwich plate via an upstream high flow non return valve (this stops it trying to send oil back to the outlet of the oil pump)

Would the pre oiling still work with my thermostatic sandwich plate ?

No, you have to use a non thermostatic plate.

LOL

Each to their own Lee, it's certainly different. Thumbs up

The only problem I can see is it will be difficult to keep it clean as it will show up dirt real easy. Sad

That is the whole point, any oil leaks show up a lot easier than on a black block.

Mine will be bright orange too

I can see that point, I just meant in general day to day running it would soon pick up plenty of dirt.

A nice bright colour helps you spot oil leaks early & actually see where they are coming from.

Cool

I'm sorry, but I had to laugh when Stan mentioned day to day running of a 6. What does he know about it? His spends it's life as a static museum piece! Laugh my ass off

Laugh my ass off @ Jim!

The last time I ran a '6' on a daily basis was my Phase 2 Nile I had back at the start of 2004..
My current '6' will be coming back out, although it has spent the last 14 months so far as a static museum piece it has to be said. Yes
