Parada 2's are worse on a dry track than slicks, who woulda thunk it?! Laugh my ass off

I had the prada 2's on first to see what they were like and I also didn't realise my mums boyfriend bought slicks until I finished the first session. Obviously I knew the slicks were going to be better just didn't realise how bad the prada 2's were, which I what I was saying...

They're pretty sensitive to car setup, you'd need a lot of camber or a low and stiff car on track with the sidewalls being fairly soft.

Yeah I seriously need the rear stiffened up! Front could do with stiffer springs too.

Green and white starlet from the late 70s early 80s, rwd, red top vauxhall lump, fiberglass, huge arches, 10x13s all round can't miss it lol, was out in intermediate class but a broken box finished the day early, there is some proper plonkers out on track that are just dangerous we have come across it quite often. Arena essex is mainly where we take it, but LYDDEN is only 10 mins down the road for us so makes a nice day out.

Love your vids!

Bum clenching moment at 10.50? Especially with the Saxo potentially blocking a move to the left to avoid collision.

Good job

(What's the sort of costs for doing a track day event for you?)

Lol, cheers. Yeah was a hairy moment, if you look at the 306 just before I go round him he turns the front away from me which was good reactions on his part! I did have a bit of room and time to move out the way if I needed to. Costs are £20 per 20 mintute session, plus around £10 per session on fuel. I tend to ruin tyres on the n/s front on this track too. Part warn slicks are around £25 each and I'd use one in about 3 sessions, so everything included a typical day will cost £125 - £155ish. Not that bad really. Cost hardly anything in the rain though, less fuel and no tyre wear...

LOL

Lesson learnt by dude in diablo, braking and turning in in the wet, especially when the rear ride height is too low, does not work LOL

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=VKoQvcgKBp4#t=650s

(direct linky to slidey moment)

why were you going in soo early on the big hairpin? way before the apex and straight into the big puddle LOL

It's hard to see in the video but when you come along the long straight you'd have to go quite far left to be able to go right for the apex but when your braking hard at that point you cant go too far left, plus when you do turn right theres a lump that when you go over just makes you spin and understeer. Your probably right though I should try to get over to the left more and turn later for that corner, I'll try it next time. I'm still learning... lol

p.s. I was missing the puddle! lol
