Noo!!!

Gutted!! Cry lovely example too!
Probably be easier and cheaper to just re-shell it,..
Get as close to the 5k pay out as poss minus the buy back fee,
Buy another 6/rallye with great body work
Get Pugjim to transplant all the best/performance
Parts on to new shell and away you go
Probably be £s in and you can also choose a better colour too! :p

truly gutted mate hope it's sorted
Quickly and painlessly mate!

Even if the car is written off or declared unecomical to repair, a fix is hardly hard, a re shell is surely way ott?

Get a picture up andy, if you need it repairing i will get it sorted for you.

Im sure with a slight bit of jig work and some filler/new quarter it could be done for sub 1200

If its easy to bend, it's easy to mend.

Bosh it straight like Ash says, bit of decent paintwork and you'd be none the wiser.

I see the point you're trying to make here Matt, but I think it has affected Andy in a personal sense, not just the *actual* damage caused. Yes, it's not that hard to fix, certainly not impossible but he has put so much time and effort in getting the car up to an excellent mint standard that even though you could repair it and people would be none the wiser, he would know that the car he's spent so much time and money on isn't quite as perfect as it should be, and I think that counts for a lot. Sad

We could offer him couselling but then again he'd need a lot as he'd be known as the milk float car all the time so can't win either way. Andy could buy a milk float and charge that but that would probably get crashed into by a moonstone 306.

It's fixable that's for sure but that's too easy LOL

A friend took her for a mot today and it's not good news, Im away so havnt seen it but it's failed because the whole car is splitting in too across the floor from where the bulkhead meets the floor, it's apparently cracked all the way along nearly and is opening up, fixable again but with the back as well I think it may see an end to her in that shell.
Mot man has said that the power is pulling the front and back apart and it's going to split in half soon Shock
Surely it's not that bad but that's what I've been told, kid who took it said he was shaking after flooring it once Laugh my ass off that's what it does to me as well!
I'm not sure what the future holds for her but you've all convinced me not to give in so it may be a new era for her, im pretty sure it's fixable but it's all adding up now, if only I had a big garage and a welder.

That'll be the supercharged milk float that hit it in April 2004 for sure. Now I remember where I know this car from it was just after I joined. Breakerman nearly got his hands on it to leave bits behind ARMCO but seller pretended it was a 51 plate GTi 6 when it wasn't so sales and randomly dispersed parts didn't materialise.

One idea is to do the hard thing and sell the car off and end the obsession. Might be the best thing that ever happens to you. You would probs be able to get a lot of Old Skool 80's BMX's for the money too.

Or get rid and I will sell you my Rallye. That way you also get the plate you want, plus my Rallye! It needs a bit of work and you can focus on making it look awesome again. A new project!

This may have already been mentioned but im not reading anyone else's post cus they are all boring.

You don't own the rallye any more you drive a bus shelter, don't forget I saw you cleaning the windows on it awaiting your man to suck you off by the Welly last week.

I actually drive a bus shelter around picking up young boys! The most tragic thing is that you wait by the Welly in your purple tracksuit in the hope that one day I pick you up, but I never do. Its a sad state of affairs that will one day be turned into the best film ever made. Unfortunately by then both of us would have been dead for a long time. Rumour has it that we share the same coffin but no one really knows for sure.

He already does have one up given that he has a newer version of the same charger that makes its power a bit lower down the range.

    Laugh my ass off ^^^

She's been welded up now and strengthened with either 3 or 5 mm plate.
I'm away so I have no idea what it looks like or the repair, I'm trusting somebody I don't know and haven't met, a friend has arranged it, it's unlike me to do this but feck it.

So T612 will live on, just got to sort the slight bent quarter and floor next.

I wanted davyboy to do this work but it needs a new mot on her so I have no choice.
If I'm not happy with it then I'll take her to davyboy to get done laters.

Get pics up and the great knowledgeable on here will tell you if it's fixable or not, does not sound a right off to me given that you have it insured for 5k, surely easier to fix than reshell?
