A very long winded project this one, some of you know it as I've had the car around 7 years now buying off a mate from London with a dead bottom end to replace my old 309 Race car

I'll add a proper description as I go along but some pic's to start with

First off how it started with a fully stripped car and mild spec engine, Steel Rods, JE Piston's, Head and some Kent cams with mere pin hole 45mm bodies

Then

Much better and allot Lighter being 50's

Engine on the stand, new spec is basically

Sanex Rods
JE Pistons
Mad Pete Head with larger inlets and flowed nicely (I hope)
Solid Lifters with Cat cams 4903272 with a huge 13.75 lift
Extra Long Inlet manfold
Renault Pico Injectors
Vibration free complete engine balance and weight matching
Omex 600 ECU with full throttle shift

And in the hole

Looks great. What sort of power was it producing on the first engine spec Miles?

No idea as it never went that far, But a little update

Beam Rebuild with 21mm Bars, 30mm ARB with Xsara Arms for the time being, Might be upgraded yet with more Neg camber

Then onto the box, The most hybrid box ever I think, with BE1, BE3 and BE4 parts to make a nice C/R box with a 4.9 CWP complete with a very stiff Plate Diff

The onto the modded SD cage so I can fit Harness bars, Never liked fitting them to the shell behind the seat after this

The cage, abit a basic 6 point bolt in SD one stood up very well indeed

Seat mounts which are going nowhere

Looking good Miles, my first quick 306 was an absolutely mint sigma blue S16 with a Gti-6 engine in and S16 5 speed box. She went like stink! Really regret selling that now Sad.

This looks really good. Wat power/torque do you think this should be? How long is the inlet length from trumpets to head? will this slow throttle response? sorry for all questions just like to broaden knowledge.

Power figures will be what ever they are, so we shall see so to speak
Mind a similar inlet system on a std S16 bar some mild cams made 207bhp and 179 fty lb's of torque so it does look hopefull

Inlet track is 395mm, mind as they are test trumpet of 48mm I might have to use something else to get it done for the 21 of this month

The 205 got hit by a Police car, took my mates dad into hospital with leg injuries which 12 months later have just stopped getting infected etc, Claim I think will be quite a while

nah mi16 i think, the s16 one has the normal top part on the gti6 but the bits under it are what i need (to save cutting and bodging the gti6 mount - due to it's ridiculous weight)

Having had these for sale for a while now

I have to have one on mine, Abit a mild steel version but it does fit without the need to remove the subframe, although a little on the tight side

Just need to fit the Y piece's tomorrow and join it up to my system

I would say the battery box would need to come out and that's it, The middle section goes in from the top as does the left hand pipe, the right side goes from under the bay,

You look at Bike exhausts, they use a spring to hold them together, the main problem arrise's of when the pipe is clamped as it goes oval unless you use expensive clamps
