Just use buckets...

There's no law which says how many buckets you can use so just use as many as it takes. Yes

Kind of missing the point there, if there is a water shortage you dont take the p**s by sluicing buckets of water over a car on the driveway for all to see.

Local to me there is a car wash which has 2 turn tables. £6 for an extended wash and that gives you hot shampoo then hot water followed by hot wax then a cold rinse.

It's very good tbh and i just chamois it straight after then wax it when i get home. In process of doing it now as we speak. I just can't pay £5 to the migrants as they scratch the f**k out of loads of cars!

Not really Jim, using the hose will use less water than the buckets will use to do the job, but the nanny state they are tell us that we are not allowed to use the hose AT ALL.

Ok, fair enough, treat me like a child, I'll act like one and use as many buckets as I see fit. Yes
If, on the other hand they said can you use the hose as least as possible to try and save water, treating you like an adult, then I would do exactly that. Wink

It p**ses me off having a hose pipe ban! We are on a water meter and so pay for the water we use. Water shortage.....what about all the water that is lost through leaking and cracked pipes? I'm pretty sure the gas companies aren't alowed leaks! The water companies anounce millions of pounds of profit each year and what have they done to sort this problem, which has been fore seen for some time. There is enough water in the UK they just need to get it to the right places,(they need to invest some of their profits).
Rant over and back to the original question....I am using Optimum No Rinse car wash in a bucket, a Zymol sponge and a fluffy microfibre drying towel.

I do not and will never cohere to a hose pipe ban. If they sorted out their crappy infrastructure rather than lining stakeovers's pockets then they wouldnt be in this mess. This is the problem with privatising public services.

I pay for a service and I will not be told or dictated on how I use it.

Smile

So can a jet wash be used? They hardly use any water, definatly less than my 4-6 bucket approach at the moment.

I'm afraid you are right and this os the correct way of thinking when it comes to the ban.
A. They waste millions of gallons not fixing leaks
B. New housing estates build to new regulations where every house is fitted with a water metre have been told the ban doesn't apply to them. Because they get more money so there cant be much of a shortage.
