Yes, same here. I logged on to check a few things, and thought the site was running slow as I couldn't even get on the homepage. Then I looked at the time...21.32.

Waited 2 mins, and then the site came back fully functioning at a good speed...Crazy

Yes Dan, and this is the only time I've really been noticing it until today.

Today, it appears to be 32 minutes past any hour is a problem. As Jon said earlier in the thread, he had a problem at 19.32...

Right ok, I shall mention this to Ash that activity needs to be checked at this amount of minutes past the hour then and hopefully a solution will be found...

Just to clear a few things up ... this isn't a coding error. All db connections are dropped once a php script finishes, so it ain't that either.

Our ISP have been trying a bunch of things to fix this, and it looks like the only thing left to do is to move server. I'll send a threatening email and let you know what happens ...

Ash - is the site on a dedicated server, or are we on a shared one? Because a "max_connections" error won't be fixed by moving servers if we're on our own.

It just needs someone to log on when it's down and do a "show processlist" to see what queries are running that are causing the issue.

Strangely, I have noticed a change in the error messages...

At 21.32 you use to get "max_connections" and "gti6admin" error.
However, I now only get "server not found" instead.

Not sure if it's linked? Dunno

It could be, if the servers gets so many connections that it actually falls over. However that really shouldn't happen on a site this small.
