I will study the guide for a week or 2 and give it ago. As long as i turn it over by hand, i shoud notice if things are hitting right?? or is that alone enough to do damage.

You would be able to feel it but as Ash has said that can still do damage.

Always do a few turns by hand so you can check the belt tension is still nice and that in general everything seems okay before attempting to start it.

They even look like Std cam's unless they have been re-ground
Much like the 205 GTi French spec fast road cam from what I've seen, standard

I think they are standard cams as they have the squared 6 or 9 symbol that the block has. Could be re profiled.

So no matter what, as long as the pullie and fly wheel is pinned and the cams are pinned then thats in time and not 180 degrees out etc? Then follow the guide in the faq and all should be good??

Pin the bottom end up and pin the cams, this is the neutral timing position where everything should be set.

Then fit the belt, tension it up and lastly tighten the cam pulley bolts.

Remove all 3 pins, and very carefully turn it over by hand with NO plugs in so it has little resistance. Once you have turned it over one complete turn, line it up and attempt to put the pins back in the holes, all 3 should line up. Yes

If this is the case, then its done. Smile
