You need to buy a complete engine mate, don't go worrying about changing blocks and pistons now just buy a whole lump either off here or eBay and then fit it. Modify your current block over time once you have it out of the car and the new engine fitted and running correctly. Thumbs up

ah, failboat lolz !

I;d still get in touch with a local engine remanufacturer, there might be somehting somewhere you can use.

for example my ring kit was for an S16 but the top ring is incorrect, but a Vauxhall C20XE top ring fits.

You really don't get it do you? We aren't saying give up on the engine you have, shelve it for now and chuck in a runner to get you moving, this will cost very little. In the meantime, save up and get the bits you need to finish your good engine properly.

Seriously mate, listen to these guys as they've been there and done it. I gather that your relatively young (like me) so don't rush into things as you clearly don't fully understand them just yet. As daveyboy said, grab a couple books, learn a bit more and then go tinkering with your bored out engine and in the meantime, chuck a decent standard lump in to keep you mobile Smile good luck Thumbs up
