i fitted a set of koni adjustables with 50mm ecosse selex springs (torsion bars reset to match, 10mm higher than front)

today i went for a good blast on country roads and to be honest the handling is scary

has recently had new bottom arms, bushes, ball joints etc, it feels horrible, when i go round fast tight corners

she seems to bounce alot. I think my car handled better with the original setup, just feels far too hard, obviously

50mm drop doesnt help.. even with dampers on softest setting, i dont have any confidence through the twisties

I'm now thinking a 25 to 30mm drop would be better, plus swapping the torsion bars for the xsara vts items

as i can definately feel an 'imbalance' between front & rear

Whats the best option here? before i lowered it, i knew my cars limits but now its dangerous tbh,

any suggestions guys???

phoned citroen today and they quoted me £180 plus vodka and tonic for pair of vts torsion bars, seems too cheap

to be true. Gave him reg number of vts that a friend of a friend owns, parts guy seemed a bit vague.

Got Konis on mine with Eibachs on the front, rear lowered to match with VTS TB's and solid beam mounts,Konis set half way.
Handles spot on,I would say your too low and thats your problem as you suspect.

I ran my ZX on standard springs and koni's all round for a while (ZX16v and phase 1 xsara springs drop the front of a 306 about 25mm apparently)

If u read the small print with ur koni adjustables I think you'll find they recommend a maximum drop of 35mm or damage to valving may occur. So u may find you've not only ruined ur handling but ur dampers may be fooked as well! Not good. No

What wheels and tyres are you using?

+1 on the height. Dampers may well be ok yet - not like its gone that far.

running cyclones with 195/55 'comfort' spec tyres!

had 17's on a previous 306-never again, i hated them

as for my shocks being fooked, ive done max of 300 miles since fitted. i feel as if my 306 has

lost her character, how peeps put up with running 17's on the bump stops is beyond me

cheers for the input guys
