Pete will certainly test the reliability! LOL

Most definitely!

I'm confident she's strong though, and after Pete's luck over the years (or lack of it) he deserves a break from things blowing up on him!

It's been realiable for me over the last 3 years for which it has remained in the same state of tune, and Stan's has also proven to be 100% reliable. So, as far as i'm concerned, it's a reliable motor.

Pete is definitely the ultimate test though!

It's not my place to disclose that, but you're in the right ball park.

The car was sold with a spares package, and a new rear beam and some other bits recently fitted - I think it's a fair deal for all involved, and i'm just glad it went to who it did.

Well the 206 1.9D is a massive 60 BHP or something. Each cylinder of my '6 engine put out over 110 BHP, so, it's a little different to what i'm use to Laugh

Yep, can confirm that mine has been 100% reliable and is the same setup as this car....I have done quite a lot of track work, plus two fast road trips to Monaco and back without a hitch. Awesome conversion. Make sure you look after her Pete. Smile

Where can I find some pics of this legendary beast? Big grin

I sold my 106 rallye a couple of years ago after I'd spent a fortune on it. I'm still regretting it now! Your car has obviously had so much move love and attention lavished on it, so i just hope you dont regret it later on! But at least yours is still in one piece! Sad

Shes currently sat on my driveway waiting for the weather to change so I can 'test' her! Had a good run back up north though, although the intermittent setting on the wipers has become, kinda, a bit more intermittent! Think the contacts need a clean! She certainly is an animal though, I can see some good times ahead! She is even not bad on fuel, managing over 300miles to the tank!

My original plan was to strip and cage her, take her to the Nurburgring and set some new records, but a broken btcc 306, a kid due in April and house renovations may get in the way of that! I could always drop the engine into my btcc car, or I could just enjoy her as she is for now, which is what I am thinking.

Thanks go to Rich for his hospitality on Friday night, and for picking me up from Bournemouth airport after the craziest flight I've ever been on.

I'll keep you all updated with any changes...

Congratulations on the purchase and I bet you'll be pleased whith this legendary 6 Pete Thumbs up
If you do come down to the Ring this spring or summer please be so kind to let us know as i would love to see this legendary car in the flesh.......... and maybe a passenger lap on the ring in her if you'd be so kind Blush

yeah I was following rich for sometime with an eagle eye on the rate of acceleration. The bit imprinted on my mind was watching rich overtake some slower cars, kind of taking it easy doing a nice steady overtake then giving it a bit of gas whilst on the otherside of the road to complete the manoeuvre and get passed. I remember watching thinking 'I want'Yes
