I especially like the exhaust and lexus lights, you should put those back on................

that was sarcasm!

In fact, Dave wouldn't drive it until i drove him to a scrap yard to get a set of standard rear lights!

I've been looking at a 600x267x75mm core intercooler, £85 posted on eBay, is it worth while in comparison with a £200 extra custom made on that would have centred outlets and be a tad wider. Unsure

Who would you get to do you a custom one?

I've spent quite a bit of time trawling threads on forums trying to find out about intercoolers and whether the Ebay ones are decent.

I think the general consensus it's that the big name manufacturers have better core and end tank designs, and therefore better cooling, but many people are happy enough with their Ebay ones.

On a very highly tuned engine however, I think it may be worth going for a good manufacturer

Alloyracefabrications, costs about £250-300 depending on what cores he has in at the time.

The eBay one is apparently good for 600bhp, and from what I can see, both pug1off's old 205 and that Evo engine 205 run the same cooler.

The money I save would buy me a clutch, but is it worth the risk.

Dan, have you tried Pro-Alloy. They made me a custom rad some years back for my Escort RS with a 10mm thicker core than normal, they also did me a one off twin pass front mount intercooler to my exact spec and size and even had it finished in black for me. Very reasonable they were as well, and the weldings top notch, same as your exhaust and downpipe.

I wouldnt scrimp on a cheap e-bay cooler when you have come this far.

Also, what about radtec? Cosmic spanner seemed very happy with his radiator and intercooler, don't know what he paid though.

I tried to contact him about his radiator but his inbox is full Sad

From memory the rad was about £250, the cooler about £300.

Engines getting built up at the mo, inlet manifold should be done next week.

I managed to fix my broken topmount cradle, seam welded my subframe and got that painted, aswell as painting my wishbones.

Finally got a xsara vts ph1 steering rack, bought done brake pipes, fitting and done new race brake fluid.

New map sensor and bias valve.

I've prepped engine bay a little bit, should have that painted soon.
