Yeah I remember the rr day! Was a good day out! Are you dan? If not I apologise, I'm not good with names!

I've not been on the psooc properly for a few years now! Went on the other day and I couldn't get my head round the new forum!

I've been doing little bits and bobs to the rallye recently. I still can't do anything too strenuous as my backs still knackered.

Firstly, I stripped the car out, gave it a damn good clean as it was minging and I've put everything back in. Also got a completely black interior now as I hated the grey plastics. No pics yet though!

I've also fitted my black masks. The car now looks very mean! I also trial fitted my new wheels!

It needs lowering ASAP! Ive got all the rear sorted and waiting to go on, just need to source a front setup!

Now the big one. I posted a while ago that the car was a little smokey on start up. I just changed the spark plugs for some oem ones. The old plugs are black and oily. Now does this mean it's defo either piston rings or valve guides?

Looks like either a head or block rebuild might need doing! Sad

Can't say what it's like on fuel as I've only ever driven it 3 times in the last 3 months! Sad
But I went out and gave the plugs a sniff, as you do, and they smell alot like petrol! That might explain the smoke out the back!
I've got a fuel relay and crank sensor on the way to try and get the thing started as it's dead atm! But I'll try a new water temp sensor anyway, can only help!

@fatlapit - camber does look off in the picture but it's fine. Must just be the angle I took the pic at!

I've had problems with it not starting, so i bought a replacement fuel relay and crank sensor. I've just fitted them and it still didn't start! Gutted!

I then remembered that I'd reshelled my remote key a week or so ago. I tried my spare key and it works! I then tried the remote key, and now that works! So I've bought parts I didn't need, great! Well we live and learn!

Btw which is the ecu water temp sensor? And would this make it run rich if it was faulty?

The coolant temp sensor (CTS) would cause it to run rich Yes

If its faulty it will think the engine is cold and inject more fuel. Its the green one out of the 3.

Cool! Cheers for that mate!

Btw my rallye only has the blue and green. Should it have a brown one? The wiring is there just no where for it to go!

Went to start the car before with the reshelled remote key and it didn't work!I took it apart to find I'd not put the transponder in the new key! Doh! What an idiot!

I'm happy now it all works as it should!

Quick update. Due to me just having back surgery, I've been advised not to have such a harsh riding car. This means I won't be turning it into a track car afterall!

So, what kind of interest would the be in the following parts?

Pro Race 1.2's with R888's
Hi-spec 4 pots
Hybrid arb
21mm xsara bars
Bilstein GrpN rear dampers
OMP bucket seat base (bolt to standard mountings to fit sidemounts)
6 point 3" harnesses

Once im out of hospital I'll put up a proper for sale add!! I'm just gauging at the minute!
