no what you mean about the clutch dave, the hole car judders when trying to pull away gets annoying, its worse trying to put it on the transit!! its either on or off!

Yeah it great once you are moving on the open road and is probably a necessity for the high high boost boys, Rich ran a standard one for ages and was ok I think so that's what I am going to do, obviously the Helix would be great on track too

Twin Plate AP Clutch which rattles a lot but doesn't slip; not really necessary but coupled with a lightweight steel flywheel it revs like a motorcycle. In my class ( B ) there are Cosworths and Audi Turbo engined Golfs and Corrados all with 400bhp+. In Class A there are 4x4 Sierra and Escort Cosworths inc a WRC Escort Cosworth with 650bhp, a Skyline with 850bhp and an ex BTCC Alfa with a C38 Rotrex and 400-470bhp.

I think I've seen that Alpha Ash. Is it or was it black at one point?

And how does the 306 get on in your class? Is there much you can't get close to?

It's quite an even playing field overall. Despite me being out-powered, the supercharger makes the car more driveable. The only car/track combo I couldnt get near was Ray Barrow's 460bhp rwd mk1 escort cosworth at snetterton, although I have beaten him at brands.

Good stuff!

Good to know the 306 can hold its own against the kind of machinery you mentioned, would be good to watch too
