After reading through a recent Low Boost Options thread, some posters were saying there are better ways to spend £8-10k than going high boost on a 306.

I'm not used to looking at that sort of price for a car, but what sort of hatchback or saloon could you get with 400hp and great handling for that sort of money? I guess Evo's and WRX's spring to mind, but they are both heavy and expensive to keep, could you get a Caterham for that price, though it would only seat two. I had a quick search on Autotrader but that price range was full of nearly new Fords/VW's etc, nothing sporty stood out,

Your opinions -

If it's a similar power to weight ratio you are looking for then go for a low boosted 205 like mine. It has the same power to weight ratio as my Evo 6 which had 400hp. Ultimately, the Evo is quicker but much more expensive to run. You could also look at a charged CTR or DC5 ;-)

Ye a pulsar but im pretty sure they are about 220 bhp standard but with 10k you will easily get something between 300-400 bhp out of 1. As long as you not spending thousands on labour

I did think that after 106lad's M3 thread, but aren't they just a bit bigger and better, or are they really that good?

EDIT: Hmm, just saw this, http://youtu.be/0MH20vCgBDQ LOL
