Hi guys would just like to know if the lower strut brace helps to calm vibrations.

I would have thought it may make it worse by making the car more solid. But chances are it would make no difference at all.

It can help shut up some suspension noise as it shifts the resonance frequency upwards due to stiffening the mountings, it's probably not going to help with any vibrations you can feel in the cab though.

Thanks. Is there any 'good' brand of lower strut brace that does not touch the bottom sum pan of the engine.

There is only one "brand" of lower brace as far as I know, and that's Phil. Mine knocks against the sump a little when idling, but it's not a problem.

I don't really think they're going to make any real difference to sound other than that, I'm sure I could sort it if I were that bothered.

There's a little bit of adjustment on the bolt holes, just slack them off slightly and give it a good tug Whistle:
