What sort of phone is it? many phones can be tracks even if switched off? Otherwise call your service provider ASAP, they can tell you if its been used, may also find out where! Contact your provider ASAP before you get a bill for the Knobs called if he makes any. Then block it, most phones can permanently block or lock phones for good now so even a Packy in a corner shop can't do anything with it. Im hoping you have insurance? House or flat or rented room? Most polices cover you for this with a crime reference number, just have to pay the excess on your policy if you have one. I had the same thing with my iPhone, cost me £150 but for a £500 phone thats not to bad plus its all backed up on my PC, hope that helps mate, its a bad feeling, been there! let me no what happens!?

that sucks man, if you call the poilice and get a crime number you might be able to claim on your house contents cover depending on your policy

I thought the app still worked even if it was off. I think if the sim or something silly is removed it isn't traceable. Worth a google.

As said already, call your phone provider asap and they should be able to fry the phone straight away. Soon it will be a pointless thing to steal phones as they will just be rendered useless.

Just rang and they blocked it and new sim coming to me now. The phones location services have been turned off. They should make that password protective for this very reason.

Also was thinking how hard would it be for them to make the phone not be able to be turned off when its locked?

This way the phone would be tracable till the battery dies.
