Sorry to put this in here but I've just tried sending you a PM but your inbox is full so hopefully you'll see this and get back to me.

PM was as below

quote:
Hi,

Ive fitted the coilovers over the weekend which I got from you. After fitting them and trying to set them up, its appears that the top ajustment knobs just turn and turn without adjusting. Having spoken to AVO directly, they said that its sounds like they have been force passed the min or max range of the adjustment and snapped the threads internally!

You made no mention of this when you sold them to me in "good condition", and obviously, coilovers needing repair wouldnt be in good condition in my books.

They have said they can repair them at £15 + VAT each side, plus the cost of postage there and back. Thats going to put me out of pocket at £36 for the repair and probably upwards of £20 for the postage, plus the time to remove them, and refit them again.

Id be grateful if you can come back to me as to what solution you suggest as I'll be honest, Im a little annoyed you hadnt mentioned any of this before you sold them me.

Thanks

Ben

I will say that Mike knew nothing about this and had all intensions of fitting these to his own car, but due to new job etc he's had to buy a cheaper to run car and therefore sell all his shinny bits, this is another ash & jon situation where as Mike has bought them on here off someone in good faith and in full working order, i know that when i called around Mike 3days before he listed these back up for sale they were still in the cardboard they were wrapped in when they were delivered to him, the only reason they didnt get fitted to his car is that i've been too busy on my rallye to spare the time

Mike is away with work at the moment and not got internet access (only on his phone which is a pain) so i'll send him a text to let him know

Not saying that he know they where faulty, but I bought them as working units, which they are not. It's going to cost about 60 quid to get them to full working units. Which if I knew was the case, wouldn't have paid what I did for them.

Simon, if you could let him know, that would be great, as I just want to get this sorted.

Ive heard nothing yet? Was hoping he'd have PM'ed me last night and come up with a solution so we could sort it. Would rather sort it through the forum then start with Paypal disbutes etc as I dont think it needs to go down them lines if he would just get in touch.

Well Ive still not heard anything and Simon has told you about the issue earlier in the week.

I can appreciate that you are busy with work etc but I'd be greatful if you can get in touch as I'll be left with no option as to opening up a disbute on Paypal next week otherwise to fall within the 45 day period.

I dont believe it has to go down to this but Im currently not left with many options.
