i was under the impression you could angle the cage in with the doors and both seats removed?how do people get the normal bolt in cages in? because they seem to be a fixed B hoop and rear section and only the upper window A bar and the doorbars remove - or the SD one i saw did (2nd hand) after all it's a bolt-in cage. you'd probably be putting your own brackets, which are only angled metal thick plates anyway so not a HUGE problem. i reckon you'd make more mess trying to remove the old plates than you would just leaving them and sorting your own can't see it being even remotely on a scale of 'difficult' like a Custom Cages one ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

I ask because mine needed the space between the 2 rear bars to 'hook' in and get the cage in place. Mine without the x used to tip forwards to remove, I now have to fit the rear first then slide the bottom of the cage backwards,pretty easy but harder with weld in seat rails |
