After the N/S ball joint went, at the time it had started to make a road noise. I found what seems to be a little wear on the inner side of the hub hole here >

However, the main inner depth part of the hub looks as it should. Although one picture does look like its ovaled Unsure

Its a 16mm hub not the 18 i was given via GSF Thumbs down

Cheers

Oh and tbh with you, the ball joint should have been spotted when i had the top mounts replaced at my local 6 garage a few months ago. The hub was bolted using an 8.8 rating not 10.9 like the OE Pug one's.

yup, donald ducked, 8.8 bolt wouldnt concern me though as long as it was torqued up correctly.

of course if you were kerb hopping on 600 lb springs it'd be a different matter, but i'm guessing you arent LOL

No, my 6 is all original until i get hold of some VTS 21mm TB's Smile

But the torque originally applied is meant for 10.9 rating, the same torque on an 8.8 worries me. A garage should not go cheap on nuts and bolt IMO.

Cheers Greig, i think ill have a full set because you never know what the other side is like.
