Looking for a set of braided hoses for my 306.

Have PM'd swampy on this forum and he has got back to me with a very reasonable price for a kit in carbon look.

However, I am looking for a set with stainless fittings ideally, as opposed to the zinc ones.

Goodridge or HEL are the obvious choice, but they are certainly not cheap, or at least seem expensive compared to the price from swampy.

Then I noticed that Black Diamond do a set of braided hoses for a good price, but they are only listed for the XSi.

Will they still fit GTi-6 calipers?

And would everybody else suggest going for stainless fittings too?

Cheers

Give them a call and check then at least you have some ammo if they are supplied wrong.
Again I've had some HEL ones supplied for a 1.6 205 and 1 rear was wrong, just a female fitting instead of a male fitting, But even motor factors get this wrong
Worth noting the rears are different depending on the year of the car as not all have the Valve on the back

I had exactly this problem a while back when I refurbed my beam, when I received my hoses the rear ones where both the same size and consequently one was too short, one e mail to the hel supplier and a longer one was sent out no questions asked! Big grin

i've got a set of swampy, seem to be all working nice. braking seems improved. only 1 slight issue was that 1 was a bit too long, fixed with a tie wrap to a bit in the wheel arch, but that was the fault of a lazy garage guy rather than the hose. but so far i'm impressed with the swampy ones. bearing in mind new pads were fitted at the same time (the garage neglected to tell me this and i didn't notice til i got home) and the brakes still felt better than before.

I have some of Miles' hoses on my 205. Hoses were spot on, and a doddle to fit (the unions on the hoses (his anyway) make that particularly handy and easy to install).

Unlike the Exact items, they are also have swaged fittings.
