I have a question about the oil pressure and oil temperature sensors on the GTi-6 block.

On my phase 1 engine there are 2 sensors (see below)





On my phase 2 car there is only one of these sensors. Where sensor 2 is it’s blanked off and above the oil filter is the grey sensor (Sensor 2 in photo above).

Question what do these sensors do? (is one pressure and the other temp?)

Thanks for the very fast reply.

I am going to be fitting a pressure gauge to my car so I was not sure which one it needs to be wired to. (I am assuming you can use this sensor with aftermarket gauges?)
