thinking of carbon wraping the above, you think it might get a bit hot there for it?________________________________________ Do you need a 205 > 306 gti6 plug and go engine loom? The wrap will be fine, its the adhesive underneath that will let go and make it look terrible.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. any idea what you put on the OE part to make a mold? some sort of wax? then cover tieh FG i guess, then thats the mold done, then fill the mold with carbon fibre?________________________________________ Do you need a 205 > 306 gti6 plug and go engine loom? google how to make moulds!  for Carbon Fibre  it may take a few practice attempts to do a successful mould so bear that in mind if your going to have a crack at it! maybe a near future project ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

i'd certnally have a crack at it it doesn't look that hard to do,..say you do a full bonnet with supports what sort of regulations have to be met before you can put something like that on your car? it's one thing doing a cover for something but from a safety point of view would something like that need to be checked out thoroughly if only for insurance purposes? ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |
