I managed 300 miles out of a tank in my 6

speed Yota engined Lotus. It's only got a 40 litre tank so it's pretty good. I've only done that once however cause 8.5k rpm is SOOOOO much fun Ninja

i think your technique of getting your point across successfully needs some work. why not try explaining your 'eco driving' instead of insulting long standing knowledgable members? you're just digging yourself a deeper hole

I always assumed, that if driven economically, that high boost/low boost cars got near enough the same MPG as standard? Thats what Stan said at FCS last year.

I get around 400 miles from a tank and that's normally before the light comes on, but that is a lot of motorway miles

Easy 400 to a tank, best I've ever done was 498 but that did need a lot of self control, self imposed 3500rpm limit & only part throttle driving.

I will rarely hit 300 miles to a tank and that's with tesco99! :-( 90% of my driving is journeys under 5 miles in the city - surprised it makes that much difference though.

Passed MOT in August and as far as I can tell the CTS is good (from checking resistance as per FAQ).

My old one used to do better mpg with normal fuel rather than super unleaded stuff.

Not mapped yet, but ive been on and off the throttle low revs and had a slight blow just before the lambda which will of drawn air in making it think it was lean so it will have been adding extra fuel.
That's fixed now and the gauge does seem to be going a bit further than before now.
still I can't see it doing 30mpg even when mapped, Been realistic I'd say 25 was achievable round town and probably 30mpg on a steady long run maybe.
I hope stans right tho

i drive mine properly whenever possible until it runs out of fuel and them i fill it right back to the top and repeat this until natural fuels are absent. in 20 years time i want to have burnt my own hole in the ozone layer and have it named after me, not sit around reminiscing how much i got to a tank or saved on fuel

why but a gti6 or anything remotely thirsty of you are worried about petrol cost or consumption?

on the contrary i get about 270 to a tank with 200 miles of motorway a week

i used to put 100 litres a week in my m3 Evo on vpower only LOL
