You would probably get away with 1mm2 but I would recommend 2mm2 to be safe.

probably going to get some 1mm2 for extending the boost gauge as it only powers the back light, will go for the 2mm2 for the lambda i think, cheers

I don't think earthing the gauge through the ECU would be particularly clever seeing as it runs at 12v?

And what voltage does the ecu churn?

Would it be better to buy the thinwall cable?

They say it's better and it's cheaper.

That's a good website. I normally just find wire kicking round the house but may aswell buy some. Delivery is a bit expensive though.

Hello Mabz,
Out of interest, how much would it cost to get the kit fitted at your work? I asked my local garage to have a look at it whilst they were putting on my exhaust, but they weren't up for it!
Cheers

Roughly £50 just to plumb it together.. ideally you should have a position to mount it whether it is an A-pillar or ashtray..?

I'm moving into a brand new workshop within the next few weeks, so give me a call closer to the time or send me a pm Thumbs up

Finishing mine off this weekend, following your fitting guide it says you can use an existing grommet behind the heater unit. Where is the heater unit and how do you access the grommet?

If you're going to fit this I would recommend a second boss. Mine ran like shit with this on at part throttle. Looks good though.

Did you try smegal?

So are you still connecting the White cable to the green so the ecu is using the wideband or are you actually just using the wideband for the gauge?
Still happening occasionally, doesn't really do it in the warmer weather though.

I cut the sensor off an old lambda and plugged it into the loom plug then wired the gauge to that. when you go to part throttle and the gauge reads -- the car just flat spots then picks up again.

I sacked it off and I will get a boss welded in.

So it will just be a gauge reader and not a working lambda if that makes sense. And you will still use the current narrow band one for the engine to read?

I'll have to. I bought it to use as a lambda but It wasn't happening. It just flatspotted on every roundabout. If you looked down at the gauge it wasn't reading it just said --

Kk yeah that's what my did occasionally. Seems fine in the summer but I will do that when it gets cold again as it's very annoying. Shame really.

I wish I was better at electronics to make a device that would take the readings from a wideband and a normal at diff levels.

It ran amazing until it lost everything, then took off like a rocket again.
