As for pistons, not wanting to sound rude but Matt from pug1off seems to think it's posible, and for some1 that is able to get 300hp n/a and 510hp turbo'd out of these engines I think il take his word for it, With ride I've tried rasing and lowering it and found this set up works very well for me. Cheers for the advise tho. Sandy Brown thought something similar, he does'nt now though ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Someone find a linky for that thread please? I'm too lazy. From what I remember, there was minimal clearance on a cold engine being cranked by hand, the tolerances were so small that by the time the revs and the temperature increased it made one hell of a mess in there. How far did he drive it home after being built? About 100miles or so? ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

You can buy coilover sleeve kits from places like Rally Design, you cut off the spring platform and weld the threaded colllar onto your old damper unit. It's probabaly easier and better to buy a purpose built unit with adjustable damping though. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Ah fair enough. Thats what i've done for my e30, but e30 shocks run inserts. I take it that it's ok to weld directly to the damper body? To be fair the oe damping rate is quite reasonable. |

I used to work for Sportline suspension, we used to service, refurb and custom make shocks for all kinds a cars. I made them myself with uprated bump and adjustable rebound which you can't get on a standard 306 Koni. |
