Don't think the crack makes anything spread

just seems everyone with a big gap has cracked mounting holes....a crack at the mounting hole will allow the rest of the mounting point to spread slightly

No it wont, and if it does then you have very serious problems! LOL

Yeah I do work for one. But I am a tech in a main dealer, and they we don't do welding. Sad

Plus VW don't like me taking my '6' into their workshop even if I put it on my own ramp!
They are a very picky lot.

Thanks though Dom.

Stan.

OK HERE IS THE LOW DOWN!!

I have been to pug today and had a word with my monkeysWink

It seems that they did recognise a problem and made a shim plate the sits between the rubber and the mount its self

BUTShock

It was for the 206Angry Angry

However

Pug monkey spanner manRazz

Told me it is a very common problem, more so in Hdi's and Gti6 because of huge torque

All they do is make sure every thing is Uber tight

SO hope that clears things up

Mine looks like 6 miesters. There is no gap at the exhaust end. just need to find something to wedge it with LOL I cant see it making the car go better as someone said in a previous post lol as the engine moves back on accelarating and there is no gap on the back part of the mount! Laugh

Think i will copy Doms rather good idea. Your right about accelerating tho! Hopefully chocking the mount at the front will improve changing up in to second, hard to get that smooth.
